I was attending a basketball game featuring Washington State vs Colorado. I have to say that the Colorado fans are some of the classiest fans I've ever had the pleasure to root against. We talked smack, then had beers together. Left with a bunch of new friends.
Event center itself is a great facility. Great views from all around the stands, plenty of bathrooms. Though a lot of the water fountains were out. However, biggest downside is the parking. Getting in and out after the event was horrendous. I would definitely recommend either leaving early or finding something to do within walking distance after your event to go wait out the mob before trying to leave.
So great to see such a packed stadium for the women’s game against Stanford!
As of the weekend of January 14th, there’s some construction to watch out for when trying to park. We got stuck in traffic coming from Denver (due to an accident) on the way in and ended up getting inside 3 minutes before halftime.
Glad to have had friends inside to save us seats because it was packed! It’s a great facility with everything you’d think they would have. Nice support of local youth basketball at halftime.
Getting out of the parking lot took an hour, our plan next time is to leave even earlier from Denver and when the game ends we’ll walk to a coffee or lunch before trying to leave the parking lot! That or park further away off campus and walk to the game.
Won’t stop us from supporting though!
We came out to be a part of another Coach Prime event. Sports Illustrated and Amazon wanted to put something on for him. Sports Illustrated named him the Sportsperson of the year and Amazon has documented his journey from coaching JSU to CU.
The place was clean, decent, and presentable. Restrooms were the same.
Staff members were super rude when asked about the autographs. She assumed we were cutting the line when we just wanted to know if the players were taking pictures in addition to signing autographs because we did not have anything to sign. We missed the cap for the line by trying to be respectful and not waste anyone’s time. Traveled a long way to bring my daughter to the see the women’s team play as a prospective player and student. This was disappointing.
This court is awesome. Seems like sections 20-22 fill up quickest due to how you see the court's mountain art. I sat in section 3, really was action packed whenever they were down at that end. As you walk around the event center there are large portions of absent walls so you never miss a play. Great prices for a college venue! Tees for 3's was cool, and the cheerleading squad put on a flawless performance at the half. Can't wait for my next basketball game there!
Great CU women’s basketball game against UCLA - sold out crowd!! Unfortunately, CU lost but a great game!!
I love this venue! Every time I’ve gone it’s been super easy to park, and have a short walk to the CU event center.
The venue is always clean and the staff friendly.
Looking forward to the next game!
